The journal’s current featured issue features the Kalon Tripa and Parliament elections, and sets out all the nominated Kalon Tripa candidates and their available policy positions. TPR also provides editorials and an open forum for public commentary, and offers a chance for the candidates to respond. The journal’s goal is to ensure that political debates are about issues, not personalities.  The journal's only rule is that unfounded personal attacks are not permitted.

TPR’s editorial board consists of Mr. Binara, Wangchuk D. Shakabpa (also on the board of Tibet Justice Center), Bhuchung D. Sonam, and Tenzin Wangyal. It is not affiliated with Tibet Justice Center or any other Tibet support group.
