UN Human Rights Reviews of China

The United Nations have a number of human rights treaty bodies that periodically review the human rights situation in China, such as the Committee Against Torture (CAT), the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR), and the Human Rights Council (HRC).

TJC informs and engages these United Nations human rights treaty bodies on the situation in Tibet in a bid to make sure that Tibetan concerns are central to any human rights review of China. We do this by variously submitting detailed reports, making oral interventions and meeting with different bodies. You can see information on our recent engagement since 2013 below:
